Born of a French mother and an American father, Alicia Harrison grew up in New York City before moving to France in 2000. After advanced studies in Philosophy at l’Ecole Normale Supérieure, she studied documentary filmmaking at Les Ateliers Varan in Paris. She then started working as scriptwriter, camerawoman and director’s assistant, while developing her own film projects. She finished her first film, Taxiway, in 2013. She is also working on a Ph.D. on documentary film at l’EHESS in Paris, and teaches film at Université Paris X – Nanterre.
